What happened on ‘Big Brother’? Who was evicted? Recapping the Aug. 14 episode
It’s another eviction Thursday on “Big Brother,” and this one could be game-altering.
The night started with Vince “Vinny” Panaro, Keanu Soto and Zach Cornell on the block, with one of those major players set to go home following the BB Block Buster competition.
Here’s what happened on the Aug. 14 episode of “Big Brother.”
What happened on ‘Big Brother’ Thursday, Aug. 14?

The night picked up after the veto ceremony, which saw the nominations stay the same.
Ava Pearl was emotional about her nominations, and she told the Diary Room she had a lot of respect for Vinny this week after seeing how he handled being on the block and receiving his egg punishment.
Mickey Lee told Ashley Hollis she thought she controlled the vote, and that she wanted Keanu to go home. Ashley showed frustration in the Diary Room with how Mickey acted like she was in charge and that Ashley’s opinion didn’t matter.
Kelley Jorgensen and Rylie Jeffries discussed sending Vinny or Zach home, before Ashley told Cliffton “Will” Williams and Rachel Reilly about how Mickey thought she could control everyone’s vote.
Zach talked to Mickey about whether he or Vinny were more likely to go home, and she told him Vinny had the better chance to stay in the house.
Vinny campaigned to his houseguests, in a way-too-long (but still funny) segment in which he acted like he was in an old gumshoe detective movie.
Once things turned serious again, Vinny talked to Morgan Pope about her vote, as she voiced her frustration for Zach always favoring Lauren Domingue over her in the house.
Zach then talked to Morgan and told her about his $10K veto power, which he chose to not use on himself so she wouldn’t go on the block. Morgan was emotional in the Diary Room, saying she didn’t think she could vote to send Zach home.

Zach, Keanu and Vinny competed in the BB Block Buster, which saw Keanu win and earn safety.
Host Julie Chen Moonves told the houseguests about Keanu’s win, which drew an underwhelming round of applause (although Rachel looked thrilled).
Vinny and Zach barely chose to campaign and instead cried in each other’s arms (the emotion is great, but perhaps they should have used it to try and stay in the game). The two nominees then gave their speeches to the houseguests.
The houseguests voted to evict Zach by a vote of 8-2.
Zach spoke to Julie and said he was blindsided, as he thought he had the votes to stay. Julie called him out about not using his power to save himself, and she smacked him across the head with her paper, paying homage to when she smacked Marcellas Reynolds for not using the veto on himself in season 3.
