Neighbours lines up baby storyline for Cara and Remi

Neighbours reveals Cara Varga-Murphy’s secret desire for another baby next week.

Cara and her wife Remi discuss the possibility after their eldest son JJ makes a surprising discovery.

The Australian soap recently included mentions of how Cara writes letters to her future self on significant birthdays, allowing her to track the progress she’s making in life.

Next week, JJ accidentally finds Cara’s most recent letter, which she wrote to herself on her 40th birthday.

The milestone birthday was celebrated on screen in late August, as Ramsay Street’s residents were seen throwing a party for Cara at the Rodwell house.

At the time, Cara agreed to let Sadie Rodwell give her a makeover and vowed to push herself out of her comfort zone more in the years ahead.

Taking a peek at the letter, JJ reads that it’s Cara’s dream to have another baby. Realising that his mums may need to talk, JJ hands over the letter to Remi.

Remi is also shocked as this isn’t something that Cara has mentioned before. She approaches her wife and urges her to speak openly about how she feels.

Cara dismisses the baby reference as just a dream and not something she expects to make a reality, claiming that there are too many practical reasons why it’s impossible.

Remi tries her best to remain open to the idea, although it’s clear that she’s hesitant to expand their family of four.

Cara reiterates that she has already made her peace with not having any more children so they don’t need to discuss it further.

Of course, this is Soapland and these things rarely crop up for no reason, so has Remi really heard the last of it?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, October 14.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
