Neighbours legend ‘haunted’ by their ex as 2025 season kicks off in spectacular fashion

Neighbours are kicking off their 2025 season with a bang as Yaz Shields (Chrishell Stause) targets Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) in a deeply sinister way.
The Amazon Prime Video soap picks right up from Christmas, when Holly opened up a haunting gift from her late boyfriend Heath Royce (Ethan Panizza).
As viewers will remember, he met a dramatic end in the jaws of a crocodile last year and Yaz is now looking to make her pay.
In upcoming scenes, she visits No. 28 late at night and decides to manipulate her mental health.
Elsewhere, following the collision on Power Road, we check in on the locals who were caught up.
Max Ramsay (Ben Jackson) is convinced that he was the one intended to be hit, whilst Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) vows to support troubled Seb Metcalfe (Rarmian Newton) through his recovery – much to fiancé Leo Tanaka’s (Tim Kano) annoyance.
Love is in the air for Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), but will he ruin his chances with Rhett Norman (Liam Maguire) before a relationship has even begun?
Plus, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) are on cloud nine following their reconciliation, and look ahead to their future.
With all the fresh goss from Ramsay Street in 2025, I’m your man! Here’s Metro‘s look ahead to next week on Neighbours.
Monday, January 6
Holly is spooked after receiving a hoax present from her deceased ex-boyfriend Heath, with Yaz using it as the perfect opportunity to try get her to confess to his murder.
Blissfully unaware of who really sent the gift, she begins to detail the events of the outback, and later tells Byron (Xavier Molyneux) and Sadie (Emerald Chan) of how thankful she is to have such a supportive boss.
The pair have had their own dilemmas over the Christmas period – having been caught up in a hit and run on the big day. Both thankful of Max’s quick-thinking in pushing her out of the way before the car hit her, they invite him to start living back at the share house.

Max can’t help but feel that his past could be catching up with him, and that he was the potential target. As he recovers in hospital, he sneaks out to see the injured driver but doesn’t recognise him.
Krista is devastated to learn that Seb was caught up in the collision, and soon finds out that the driver had his photograph saved on his phone. She’s guilt-ridden when she discovers that her best pal has returned the cash she gave him to pay off loan sharks.
As she arrives at his bedside, she makes an emotional apology for forcing him to choose between the money and their friendship. Krista promises to support his recovery.
Down at The Waterhole, Aaron clams up when Rhett asks him to attend a cinema screening together. In need of some advice, he turns to Jane (Annie Jones), who tells him to reconsider how beneficial his company could be.

Boosted by her support, he asks Rhett out and is delighted when he accepts.
With Paul and Terese’s relationship out in the open, they don’t realise how over the top their public displays of affection.
When she declares that she wants their relationship to be about want rather than need, Paul is understanding and declares his love for her.
Tuesday, January 7
Aaron prepares for his date with Rhett but is interrupted by Yaz, who needs him to pick up some equipment for the Lights Up festival. Jane reasons that he could potentially combine the two events, and the pair could both head into the city together.

Their meet up doesn’t go to plan – Aaron struggles to navigate his way around Melbourne and finds himself constantly bringing up David.
Rhett clocks his angst and calms his nerves, but Aaron can’t help but feel like he’s ruining his chances.
Elsewhere, Paul and Terese hit a stumbling block when he details his plans to redevelop Power Road. She’s uncomfortable by his suggestion, believing that he’s already started to make a move on her independence.
Max continues to investigate whether he was the intended target of the car attack, and searches the car at the garage before the police pick it up.
Andrew (Lloyd Will) informs him that the vehicle was intended to hit Seb, but becomes suspicious of the youngster when he hears him discuss looking over the motor.
Leo tells Paul that he’s concerned Krista and Seb will begin to depend on one another again.

With his dad’s advice to keep his enemies close in mind, he offers a room to stay at Lassiters rather than move back in with him and Krista. Unfortunately, the plan backfires when she feels like she’s unable to leave Seb alone and offers him the spare room anyway.
Wednesday, January 8
Leo forces himself to keep shtum and to support his fiancée, but suggests that Seb would be better checking into rehab to have proper care.
Seb rejects the idea, and pleads with Krista to let him stay. Despite her reservations, she agrees to support him in the same way David did following her relapse.
As they reminisce on times gone by, she’s unaware that it’s reigniting the spark of crush that he had on her for years. He becomes convinced that he’d rather be with her when she postpones a lunch to look after him when he almost overdoses on painkillers.

On Ramsay Street, Sadie and her housemates feel awful when Vera (Sally-Anne Upton) announces that she’s decided to move out and is interviewing for a bungalow in the next road.
They realise that her harsh words on Christmas Eve have made an impact and after hearing that she failed to secure a new home, Sadie makes it her mission to make her stand out from the crowd.
She treats Vera to a makeover and preps her with some interview questions, whilst Max and Byron make brownies that she can give to the landlord in the hope of wooing them.
Unfortunately, her personality lets her down again and the housemates beg her to stay with them. She remains committed to finding her own crowd, even if it takes a little longer.
Holly takes the bottle of Heath’s perfume to the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation and feels a weight lifted from her shoulders. She admits to Aaron that she hopes that she can impress Yaz so much that she is offered an invite to continue work in the US.

The pair meet up with Kendall, a lighting tech who has jetted in from America to work on Lights Up. It all goes well until Holly realises that she’s bought Heath’s perfume and is wearing it.
Spooked by the smell, Holly flees and Kendall is unimpressed by her erratic behaviour and is alarmed to hear that Aaron has little experience in lighting.
He manages to convince her not to spill to Yaz, but things go from bad to worse when they both accidentally drop the expensive customised control boards into the Lassiters pond.
Thursday, January 9
Holly is terrified that she will lose her job, but Yaz takes it in her stride. She reassures her that accidents happen, and is secretly pleased to hear that she was triggered by the scent of Heath’s perfume.
Yaz tries to explain that this isn’t a normal response, and Holly admits that she’s been struggling with Karl and Susan overseas.

Later, Holly takes an early night to get some much-needed rest and is haunted by Heath’s voice echoing through the empty house. Assuming she’s hallucinating, she doesn’t realise that Yaz is watching on, thrilled to see her spiral into a state of despair.
The next day, Nicolette (Hannah Monson) approaches Yaz to break off their relationship for fear of breaking both of their hearts when she eventually returns home. Aaron relays how caring she has been to Holly, which encourages Nic to give her another chance.
At Eirini Rising, the residents pick out photos for the Lost Loves light exhibition, with Paul supporting Terese as she becomes emotional over pictures of her late son Josh.

They reflect on the fact they almost lost each other once, and now they have a chance to rebuild it.
Elsewhere, Sadie is delighted when Paul enrols her on a piercing course to see if they can offer the service at the Lassiters Day Spa. When she returns home with a septum piercing, Byron is stunned and has to cover his shocked.
Andrew gives a good reaction to her new look, which prompts Sadie to consider getting another. Byron bites his tongue, desperately hoping that she won’t change her appearance again.
