Neighbours drama as Paul and Chelsea expose Sebastian’s real killer
Guilt-ridden Neighbours teen Nell Rebecchi prepares to confess to her role in Sebastian Metcalfe’s death next week – but just as she steels herself to tell her stepmum Terese, ruthless Chelsea Murphy hears everything over the baby monitor.
As Nell and Terese prepare to reveal all to the police, they’re stopped in their tracks when they realise Paul Robinson has already dobbed Nell in. What will happen to the teenager now she’s been robbed of the chance to confess?
“Nell’s dire situation looks even worse now she’s been caught out,” our Neighbours source explains.
“It seems suspicious that she’s kept quiet all this time, watching Leo get banged up for a crime that she committed. But will the police realise it was an accident?”
Withholding her part in Seb’s death is keeping Nell awake at night, and when she learns terrified Leo has done a runner instead of facing a life in prison, she makes a brave decision.
Believing she has no other choice, Nell confides in JJ that she’s going to confess to Terese that she was responsible for Seb’s death, not Leo. But unfortunately for Nell, Chelsea has heard everything on Thomas’ baby monitor.
When Paul hears there’s a warrant out for Leo’s arrest, he loses all hope for his fugitive son, but Chelsea’s arrival changes everything. While she tells Detective Fox she knows exactly who killed Seb, Terese calls Toadie and they decide to head over to the police station so Nell can hand herself in – but they’re beaten to it…
“Terese is horrified that Paul went straight to the police to accuse Nell,” our insider adds.
“Terese feels utterly betrayed, but Paul has his own son to think about. Can they ever stand united after this huge divide?”
Terese insists she can’t forgive Paul for shopping Nell to the police, but the bristling tension between them is a delight for Chelsea. Can Terese forgive Paul for acting alone and ruining Nell’s future?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, April 22.
