There was worrying news for one family in Coronation Street tonight when they learnt that a loved one had collapsed.

Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) wasn’t feeling well when he headed for his chemotherapy treatment, having been diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year.

Though he had sister Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) by his side, she was preoccupied with her concerns for Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), and he encouraged her to go and talk to him to ease her mind.

Debbie was hesitant to leave Kevin alone, but he insisted, and she headed back to the cobbles.

As she left, a nurse arrived, and Kevin admitted that he wasn’t feeling well at all.

When Abi arrived at the hospital, Kevin explained that he had an infection that had caused him to pass out.

However, he insisted that she tell no one, as he didn’t want to be the subject of gossip.

Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for word to get out, with Abi telling Debbie, who told Ronnie, who told Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

Though Kevin insisted that he didn’t need a fuss, Abi was determined to look after him so that he could recover from his infection.
