ITV Coronation Street spoilers see death aftermath, baby reveal and Cassie exposed
Coronation Street spoilers for next week see a collection of dramatic news rock the cobbles.
In upcoming scenes, the cobbles is left reeling following a sad death as funeral plans are made. Elsewhere, one character’s baby news is revealed amid a shock paternity twist.
Meanwhile on the ITV soap, Cassie Plummer is exposed amid her sinister Ken Barlow plan. Here’s the biggest storylines on Corrie next week…
Cobbles left reeling following sad death
In recent episodes, Mason Radcliffe decided to help DS Lisa Swain bring down his evil brothers, Matty and Logan. After Lisa showed Mason photographs from the crime scene of her late wife Becky’s death, disclosing that his brothers Matty and Logan were behind the wheel of the car that hit Becky, he decided to take action.
He sought assistance from Dylan Wilson, asking him to keep watch while he searched Matty and Logan’s flat. Fortunately, Mason discovered damning evidence – a WWII helmet at the flat – which he handed over to Lisa at the police station. Lisa passed the evidence to Kit Green, noting it was the item stolen from the crime scene and bore the same ID as the soldier.
Soon after, Matty and Logan were arrested and requested a solicitor. Meanwhile, Mason realised he needed to leave the cobbles for his safety, as his brothers would likely seek revenge. He decided to take up Stu Carpenter’s job offer in Germany for a fresh start.
However, tragedy struck on Monday night as a released Matty and Logan attacked their brother, where a stabbed Mason tragically died from his injuries in hospital. Next week sees Matty finally arrested with the police discovering CCTV footage of the brothers disposing of the knife.
Meanwhile, the cobbles’ residents are shocked when George Shuttleworth tells them Mason’s funeral will be basic with no family there. Following the sad update, Billy Mayhew tells Sally Metcalfe he has had a change of heart and will do Mason’s funeral after all.
However, more danger is teased as no one is aware of Logan watching them from across the street as he remains still at large following the attack.
There’s also worries for Abi Webster, who found Mason and tried to save his life, as the attack reminds her of her own son Seb Franklin’s murder in 2021, where he was also attacked. However, Abi refuses to get help and insists to Kevin Webster she is coping and doesn’t need counselling.
Yet once alone she relives Mason’s last moments in her head, clearly tortured by her experience. At the same time, Kevin is alarmed to find a lump and he decides not to tell Abi as she continues to struggle with the aftermath of Mason’s death.
Later in the week, Abi is still having visions of Seb and unaware of what Kevin’s going through she tells him Alfie has a cold so she is going to spend the day at home. Meanwhile, Kevin sees Dr Gaddas who refers him for tests.
Unable to speak to Abi, an upset Kevin confides in Tim Metcalfe about his cancer worries before returning home and finding Abi asleep on the sofa with Alfie. He takes Alfie upstairs but when Debbie Webster lets herself in, Abi wakes up and accuses Debbie of taking Alfie.
Following the commotion, Abi tries to defend her overreaction to which Kevin blurts out that he has found a lump and may have testicular cancer. Later, a shocked Abi opens up to Roy Cropper and admits she’s been suffering flashbacks of Seb’s final moments and hearing his voice.
Baby reveal
Soap watchers will recall that Daisy Midgeley learnt she was pregnant on Christmas Day in a huge bombshell but there’s a paternity twist too after her fling with ex Daniel Osbourne and her romance with Kit Green.
In upcoming scenes, when Daniel is let down by the bakery making Bertie’s cake, Daisy comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Bethany Platt tells Daisy she has been offered her dream job on a magazine in London and Daisy urges her to tell Daniel as he will be delighted for her and welcome the move. Later, an excited Bethany tells Daniel about her job offer, but how will he react?
Later in the week, it’s Bertie’s birthday, and with the party in full swing Bethany is growing increasingly jealous as Bertie spends his time sitting on Daisy’s knee.
However, things take a dramatic turn when Bertie witnesses Cassie Plummer putting antihistamine into Ken Barlow’s tea and asks her what she is doing to which she swears him to secrecy.
Yet Bertie whispers the secret to Daisy who in turn tells Daniel. This is spotted by a jealous Bethany who furiously knocks back the prosecco. In true soap style, the cake cutting turns into a farce with Daisy trying to help a drunken Bethany and having a nasty fall.
