ITV Coronation Street exit confirmed for Bethany Platt – and it’s not a happy ending
Coronation Street fans are convinced they’ve figured out how Bethany Platt, played by Lucy Fallon, will exit the popular ITV soap.
Over the years, Bethany has been embroiled in numerous dramatic storylines, ranging from child grooming to illicit affairs.
Recently, she suffered a perforated bowel and life-threatening sepsis following a botched liposuction procedure in Turkey, resulting in her being fitted with a stoma bag for life. This ordeal has strained her relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who is currently torn between Bethany and his ex, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
Adding to the drama, Daisy recently discovered she’s pregnant, unsure if Daniel or her on-off boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is the father.
Prior to this revelation, Daisy witnessed Daniel proposing to Bethany, who accepted. However, with Lucy Fallon’s departure from the show imminent, fans suspect Bethany won’t have her fairy-tale ending.

In August, it was announced that Corrie actress Lucy would be taking a maternity leave following the news of her second pregnancy. She is expecting another child with her partner Ryan Ledson, after welcoming their son Sonny Jude last year, reports Lancs Live.
Now, fans have pieced together a heartbreaking exit storyline for Bethany. They speculate that she will bid farewell after discovering Daniel’s relationship with Daisy and decide to visit her grandmother Gail (played by Helen Worth) in France.
One viewer speculated: “Baby is obvs Daniel’s and Bethany will find out and that’ll be them writing her out for maternity leave,”

Another fan theorised: “I’m thinking that Daniel finds out that Daisy is pregnant around late January and Bethany breaks up with Daniel.”
They continued: “Bethany is staying at David’s during the Platt’s fire which is Late Jan/Early Feb and then she’ll probably leave to stay with Gail and Jesse in France.”
Meanwhile, another fan wrote: “I do think we get to the wedding though cause I feel like Glenda foreshadowed it when she said to Sarah “I love a wedding scrap” so I think Bethany will find out during the wedding.”
