The reason being Scarlet and Tayo first met when they were teenagers and their parents got married!
But the couple, who tied the knot in Greece last year, are going from strength to strength and have just announced the happy news that they have welcomed their first child.
Scarlet, who played policewoman Mishti Sharma in the long-running Australian soap Neighbours, took to her social media on Christmas Day to announce she and Tayo got the greatest gift of all- a sweet baby girl.
The new mum said ‘Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived. Merry Christmas from our family to yours,’ as she shared a photo from her hospital room with Tayo preparing to do some skin-to-skin with his new little daughter, followed by a sweet ‘and then there were three’ video when they took her home.
Speaking about their relationship to news.com.au in the past, 29-year-old Scarlet said that she has known Tayo for longer than she hasn’t known him.
‘We were about 13 years old when we first met through mutual friends, our families knew each other and they introduced us I guess you could say. So we’ve known each other for a very long time.’ she said.
The couple have come in for some criticism for their relationship but they don’t listen to the critics. ‘I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. We find trolls very entertaining.’ she said.
The new mum said that she finds the best way to deal with trolling is to respond to the comments because it immediately disarms them.
After finishing her stint on Neighbours in 2018, the couple moved to America where they are still based and currently run a popular OnlyFans profile.
