Coronation Street icon Alison King declares love for co-star after hilarious name ‘reveal’

Coronation Street favourite Alison King was heard sharing her love for one of her castmates as she was roped in to commenting on his current reality TV appearance.

Fans of the ITV soap will probably be aware that Jack P Shepherd is among the famous famous currently taking part in Celebrity Big Brother and the actress, famed for playing Carla Connor in the ITV soap, is among those showing their support.

while Jack appears happy to be in the CBB house, his time on the show has already been a rollercoaster as he was among the first of the new housemates to find them up for the axe in the first public vote last week.

Jack was given eight nominations while former Tory MP Sir Michael Fabricant received seven and Mickey Rourke was given the killer nomination from pop singer and former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa which automatically put him up for eviction.

The news of Jack, who is best known for playing David Platt in Corrie, being up for the first eviction came as a surprise to many and his soap co-stars were quick to rally for votes to keep him in.

It clearly worked as he survived the first eviction, with Michael receiving the least number of votes from the public before Mickey was removed from the house for ‘unacceptable behaviour’ just a day later.

But during Monday night’s (April 14) episode of CBB, it was time for the second round of nominations and Jack found himself in the firing line once again.

EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer received the most nominations from her Big Brother housemates and will be up for the live eviction on Tuesday night (April 15) alongside fellow soap star Jack and TV presenter Trisha Goddard.

But ahead of the latest twist in his reality TV tale, Jack’s co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price were heard having a laugh about their mate’s recent appearance in the CBB house on their joint podcast, On The Sofa.

They were seen discussing Jack’s character as the housemates took on a pirate-themed shopping task. And after previously speaking about what the ‘P’ stands for in the soap star’s name, he soon became dubbed Jack ‘Pirate’ Shepherd.

“It’s obvious what the ‘P’ stands for isn’t it?” Colson said on the podcast to which Ben replied: “Pirate,” before they went on to discuss Jack’s transformation. “He loves role play. He fu**ing loves it. He loves dressing up,” Colson then revealed.

But back to Alison and Colson and Ben got their fellow Corrie star involved in the chat as she was heard discussing what she thinks the ‘P’ in Jack’s name stands for before she showed her love and support.

The Carla Connor actress was heard saying: “Hello Ben and Colson On the Sofa. You’re amazing. I love the podcast, I listen to it all the time and so the ‘P’ in Jacky P Shepherd stands for ‘peculiar pinkies’.

“I know that’s two words but it doesn’t count because they are peculiar pinkies. On the left and on the right, his little fingers are very peculiar shaped and that’s what it stands for.” She rounded off by adding: “I love you Jacky P Shepherd, you absolute star. We love you.”

The clip of her comments was then seen doing the rounds on social media with one sharing a picture from Jack’s entrance into the CBB house, during which he made symbols with his hands, and the fan said: “she’s not wrong tbf [skull emoji].”
