ITV Coronation Street spoilers see Max’s exit storyline, Rob ‘death’ twist and health news
Next week promises to be a rollercoaster ride for Coronation Street fans, with plenty of drama and suspense on the cards.
The upcoming episodes will reveal Max Turner’s exit storyline as he faces the consequences of his actions following the fire. In another twist, it seems that one character might meet their end in an explosive confrontation.
In addition, a beloved Weatherfield stalwart is set to undergo surgery at the hospital after receiving some distressing health news. Here are the major storylines to look out for next week…
Max Turner’s downfall
On Monday night, viewers discovered that Max Turner was the one responsible for the catastrophic fire at David and Shona Platt’s house, reports Lancs Live.
The blaze affected numerous Weatherfield residents, resulting in Max and Toyah Battersby being rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, both made a full recovery, but it soon emerged that the fire was a deliberate act of arson.

Despite their vehement denials, David and Leanne Battersby were arrested under suspicion.
The truth finally came to light on Monday night, thanks to Kevin Webster’s garage CCTV. Upon reviewing the footage, Shona recognised Max’s hoodie, a Christmas gift she had bought him from a specialist skate shop.
The episode concluded with the police conducting forensic tests on the hoodie, which they found discarded in a bin, before heading to the shop where it was purchased.
It seems that Max’s storyline is heading towards a grim conclusion as next week’s spoilers reveal David and Shona visiting him in prison. They inform him of their application to have him transferred to a Scottish prison for his safety.
However, Max remains sceptical about his safety. With actor Paddy Bever, who plays Max, set to exit the soap in future episodes, could this be his departure plot?
‘Death’ twist
In Monday’s episode, DS Lisa Swain uncovered that Carla Connor’s brother, Rob Donovan, is entangled in a clandestine affair with prison guard Mandy. The duo are plotting his escape while he awaits at the hospital to donate his kidney to Carla.
Lisa managed to convince Rob to go ahead with the operation, vowing to try and overturn his conviction. However, next week’s spoilers hint at danger for Carla and Lisa, also known as ‘Swarla’, as Rob is prepared to do whatever it takes to avoid prison, regardless of who gets hurt in the process.

As both Carla and Rob recuperate from the kidney donation surgery, the situation escalates when Rob attacks a male security guard, steals his uniform, and abducts Carla during his hospital escape. Lisa is hot on their heels, but has she underestimated how far Rob will go?
Later, it’s revealed that Rob lies motionless at the bottom of an office block stairwell. What has happened to Rob and who is responsible?
As the week unfolds, Kit Green embarks on a probe into the Rob mystery. The burning questions are: Is Rob still alive or has he met his end? And can Kit unravel the truth about what transpired? Later in the week, Lisa finds herself under interrogation over Rob’s fate…
Health update
Next week brings a health update for Kevin Webster in the wake of his shattering testicular cancer diagnosis. In the forthcoming scenes, Kevin readies himself for surgery at the hospital, surrounded by his loved ones, with the notable absence of Jack, much to Abi’s annoyance.
Later, in the hospital waiting area, the atmosphere becomes too overwhelming for Abi and when Kevin regains consciousness, he’s disheartened to find that Abi is not there.

In the meantime, Abi sits in the car park, haunted by memories of Mason’s last moments. Spotting a gurney covered with a sheet, she feels compelled to approach it but gets the fright of her life when she pulls back the sheet. What has Abi stumbled upon?
Subsequently, the doctor informs Kevin, Debbie and Jack that the operation was a success. Concerned about Abi’s whereabouts, Debbie reveals to Kevin that she’s arranged for Abi to see a therapist and will cover the cost of her treatment.
As the week rolls on, Sally and Tim pay a visit to Kevin in the hospital. During their visit, Kevin asserts that Abi needs him and he plans to discharge himself, prompting Sally to insist that he stays in bed.
In the meantime, Abi goes to her first therapy session and is taken aback when she encounters a familiar face. It seems the therapy has been beneficial as later on, Abi comes back home and informs Kevin that her therapy session was successful and it’s now her time to take care of him.
