Neighbours airs a surprise return for Chelsea Murphy next week.
The sly schemer makes a comeback in the end-of-year finale episode, leaving fans on a cliffhanger ahead of the Christmas break.
Show bosses have confirmed that Neighbours will go off air on Thursday, December 19 and won’t return until Monday, January 6.
The final episode of the year sees the Varga-Murphys make final preparations for their long-awaited New York trip.

Before they go, Holly Hoyland pays a visit to the family and hands over a Christmas present, hoping that it will help to make amends for Cara’s recent accident at Lassiters.
Dex still refuses to forgive Holly and immediately rejects the apology, but his harsh stance upsets Cara.
JJ urges his brother to see that he needs to start focusing on what’s best for Cara, rather than his own grudge. Finally willing to move on, Dex apologises to Holly.
Later, the Varga-Murphys arrive at the airport. Cara is confused when she thinks she can see a brief glimpse of her sister Chelsea passing through the building, but she immediately brushes the possibility to one side.
