As encouraging as that is, Griffith didn’t get specific on whether true love will happen with someone new or someone currently on the canvas. Lily’s former entanglements are embroiled in their own worlds. Daniel (Michael Graziadei) is dealing with the loss of Heather (Vail Bloom). Meanwhile, Griffith hinted that Billy (Jason Thompson) ends up in a triangle of sorts with two force-of-nature redheads who used to do battle, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).
If the show decides to pair Lily up with somebody currently starring on the soap, Christel Khalil and Joshua Morrow (Nick) have an idea. And it partly came to light during a fun game the Y&R cast played to help celebrate the show’s 13,000th episode, “Marry, Kill, Make a Sandwich With.”
In the video, Khalil first responded that there were no good guys in Genoa City. Mind you, she said this with Morrow and Jason Thompson (Billy) right there in the room with her. But when push came to shove, Khalil said she’d marry Jack (Peter Bergman) and kill Devon (Bryton James). Then she said she would “Make a Sandwich With…Nick.” Morrow gave Khalil quick clicks of approval.
Meanwhile, over the summer, Morrow talked to Soaps.com about a potential Nick and Lily pairing, and he sounded like he wanted it to happen. He even considered Nick and Lily a missed opportunity. “I’ve wanted to have a story with her for a while. I think Christel is awesome to watch,” Morrow revealed.
Earlier this year, Nick and Lily had a random lunch together. However, nothing developed, even though they could clearly relate to each other. At the time, Nick lost Sally, while Lily lost Daniel. So what if this love that may come Lily’s way is Nick Newman?
