Neighbours favourite Toadie Rebecchi makes a big decision about his daughter Nell’s future next week.
The legendary character is returning for the first of a series of guest appearances following his departure as a show regular in September.
Toadie arrives back in town to seek support from his estranged wife Terese Willis, needing her to look after Nell for a while.
Terese is shocked as Toadie explains that his father Big Kev has cancer, and he doesn’t want Nell to stay in Colac to see him deteriorate.

Just as Terese processes Toadie’s suggestion, there’s a second surprise in store as he finds out about her recent alcohol relapse and immediately withdraws the request.
In follow-on scenes next week, Toadie informs Nell about her grandfather’s illness and asks whether she’d like to move back to Erinsborough.
Toadie is quick to clarify that staying with Terese won’t be an option, as he doesn’t believe that her struggling stepmum can be relied upon at the moment.
His stance is solidified when Nell comes clean about the deal that she struck with Terese to protect each other’s secrets.

Meanwhile, Terese receives strong encouragement from her ex-husband Paul Robinson to keep fighting for Nell. Nell also admits to Terese that she’d prefer to stay with her if she had the choice.
As Terese doesn’t believe that Toadie will change his mind, it’s left to Nell to tackle her father.
The strong-willed teen points out that she moved to Colac for Toadie and it’s now time for him to return the favour by letting her live where she wants.

Toadie ultimately agrees that Nell can move in with Terese after all, much to their delight.
JJ Varga-Murphy is also pleased to learn that his girlfriend will be coming back to live on Ramsay Street. Will Terese rise to the occasion now that Toadie has placed his trust in her?
