1. Paul blames himself for Terese’s troubles
Paul helps Terese to cover her tracks following the gas leak that she drunkenly caused at Eirini Rising. He promises that the police are now at a dead end and she doesn’t need to worry.
Shifting focus, Paul shows genuine concern for Terese as he questions her on when she started drinking again. Terese’s response leaves Paul feeling terrible, as he realises the timing matches with the moment that he stopped taking her calls.
Terese assures Paul that she’s ready to ditch the booze, but can she keep her promise?
2. Terese confesses her guilty secret
Despite initially going along with Paul’s risky cover-up, everything changes for Terese when she finds out that the driver of the linen truck has confessed to causing the gas leak.
The man wrongly believes he’s responsible and he immediately faces serious consequences, including the loss of his job and the threat of police charges.
Paul offers to resolve this latest mess by taking the blame himself. Terese agrees, but when the moment comes to tell the Eirini Rising residents, she backs out and confesses her own guilt instead.
3. Terese faces a major backlash
Terese’s confession goes down terribly with Susan, who’s furious over her lies and deceit. Paul accuses Susan and Karl of treating their friend too harshly in her time of need, but the Kennedys stand firm and force Terese to resign from Eirini Rising to protect the project from further scandal.
Krista reaches out to support Terese by booking her into a rehab centre. Terese and Paul share a charged moment before she goes, so they agree to talk about it once Terese is back.
4. Victor and Jane’s reunion hits some hurdles
Jane accompanies Victor as he views the pub that he’s thinking of buying in Gippsland, but the romantic mood turns sour when it’s clear that Jane doesn’t share his enthusiasm over the project.
Back at the café later, Melanie crosses paths with the reunited couple and warmly praises Victor for pursuing his pub dream. When Jane questions how Melanie knew this was such a big ambition for Victor, the pair come clean about how they previously connected on a dating app.
5. Victor’s love triangle is reignited
Jane’s anxiety grows when Melanie mentions that she’s leaving town. She notices how Victor is visibly affected by this, which hints at unfinished business between the pair.
Byron fuels Jane’s doubts when he calls her out on referring to Victor as “Mike”, which hints at her own unresolved feelings over the past. Appearing to lose hope for her future with Victor, a shaken Jane encourages Melanie to pursue things with him if that’s what she really wants.
6. Nicolette meddles in Victor’s love life
Nicolette and Aaron prepare for an important meeting regarding Aaron’s adoption application for Isla, but Nicolette gets distracted by Victor’s ongoing love life drama.
Nicolette shamelessly meddles by trying to sabotage Victor’s chances with Melanie. She lies to Melanie by claiming that her father is a major womaniser and she should steer clear. Will this be enough to get Melanie out of the picture?
7. Cara and Remi reconsider their plans
Remi starts to worry that Cara may now want to accept Felix’s offer to become a sperm donor again. Cara assures Remi that this isn’t the case, but she explains that Felix’s suggestion has left her doubting whether it’s the right move to use an anonymous donor.
With so many questions, and Felix now moving in with Andrew at Number 26, Cara and Remi consider putting their baby dreams on hold until things are more settled.
8. JJ asks Felix to leave Erinsborough
JJ notices the return of tension between his mums. When he eavesdrops on a conversation between them, JJ realises that Felix’s presence on Ramsay Street is a trigger for their unease.
This is a difficult realisation for JJ, as he knows that Felix genuinely wants to become a better person. Although JJ wants Felix in his life, he makes the ultimate sacrifice by asking Felix to leave town for Cara and Remi’s sake.
9. Felix says farewell
Felix decides to respect JJ’s wishes and announces that he’ll be leaving Erinsborough. Andrew is upset to miss out on this second chance with his brother, while Cara and Remi are shocked to realise that they’re the reason for JJ’s sudden intervention.
Felix’s decision is solidified when he receives a job offer from his church. After sad farewells to Andrew, the Varga-Murphys and Holly, a redeemed Felix leaves the Street for good.
10. Vera Punt’s secret is revealed
Vera confides in the share house gang by revealing that she had to sell Number 34 due to debts she piled up from a gambling addiction. Byron feels sorry for Vera and invites her to move into the share house on a temporary basis, much to the concern of Nicolette.
As Vera arrives with her cat figurines and vows to go skinny dipping in the pool, Byron and Nicolette start to fear that they’ve made a big mistake.
