1. Mick turns nasty with Liam
Liam decides to get his own back on Mick, who recently covered him with cement at the builder’s yard. He laces Mick’s tea with washing powder, leaving the villain disgusted.
Mick doesn’t take Liam’s retaliation well, so he ups the ante by locking the teenager in the tool shed at the yard.
2. Gary stands up to Mick
Maria is horrified when Liam tells her that Mick locked him in the tool shed. The tit-for-tat antics continue as Gary then locks Mick in the shed to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Mick is livid as Gary fires him, so he bides his time before punching his former boss. Gary grabs an empty bottle and prepares to go on the attack, but Kit intervenes and warns him to back off.
3. Flashbacks reveal the truth over Kit, Mick and Lou
As Bernie visits Kit’s flat and urges him to open up about what’s troubling him, some special flashback scenes put viewers in the picture. Three newcomers have been cast as younger versions of Kit, Mick and Lou, who all knew each other when they were teenagers.
The specially-filmed scenes, set in 2007, show Kit finding himself on the wrong side of the law when he was younger. We see the secrets that still bind them together and why Kit has been behaving so strangely around Mick.
4. The pressure mounts on Kit
Maria clashes with Lou over Mick’s behaviour, then unites with Gary to accuse Kit of corruption as he keeps letting Mick off with his bad behaviour.
Kit protests that Gary was the one to blame, as he was armed with a bottle when he was clashing with Mick.
Bernie isn’t easily convinced and continues to push Kit, wanting to know why he’s covering for Mick.
5. Brody is released
Brody’s time in the Secure Training Centre comes to an end and he reunites with his parents.
Brody, Mick and Lou all celebrate over a meal at Speed Daal. Will Brody bring trouble to Weatherfield?
6. Debbie is rushed to A&E
Debbie hosts a wedding fayre at the hotel but gets flustered amid the various stresses involved. She ends up cutting her hand, so her ex-fiancé Ronnie insists on taking her to A&E.
Although Debbie is grateful for Ronnie’s support, she panics when the nurse asks her to disclose her medical history. Not wanting Ronnie to find out about her dementia diagnosis, Debbie leaves him rejected by ordering him to go.
7. Debbie drowns her sorrows
Later in the week, Debbie heads to the Bistro for lunch with Abi. They both order soft drinks, but when Debbie sees Ronnie arrive, she struggles and switches to vodka instead.
Debbie soon becomes drunk and Abi decides that it’s a good idea to call Carl for help. Just as Carl arrives, Debbie tells Abi that she’s had some bad news.
8. Lauren falls out with her friends
Lauren admits to Bobby that she’s spent the £500 he gave her to pay off her mystery blackmailer. She explains that she needed the cash for a deposit on a flat, but Bobby feels used and declares their friendship over.
Later in the week, Betsy accuses Lauren of treating Bobby badly. The girls clash at the cafe and innocent bystander Roy finds himself caught in the crossfire when Lauren accidentally squirts ketchup over him.
9. Eileen faces further suspicion
Kit approaches Eileen and George, confirming that Julie’s autopsy proves that she did have Eileen’s painkillers in her system when she died.
Eileen is left in despair, telling George that she’s struggling to grieve properly for Julie because she’s so preoccupied by fears that she could be charged with murder.
10. Glenda takes charge at The Rovers
Jenny’s reign at The Rovers is over, so she packs up her things and moves in with Rita.
Ryan is busy working for Debbie, so Carla decides to promote Glenda to the position of manager.
Although Glenda is happy with the new-found responsibility, she does warn Carla that they’re short-staffed. Can Carla find a new barmaid to step in?
